Justin Karter graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo Honors College in 2011, earning degrees in legal studies, English and classics and winning the SUNY Chancellor’s award for student excellence. As an undergraduate he worked for a federal senator, a district attorney, and ran an inner-city literacy program for underprivileged youth. Justin went on to join AmeriCorps and served as a non-profit coordinator and service-learning instructor for Buffalo’s Honors College. He recently joined Point Park as a graduate student in the journalism and mass communication department, where he is focusing on issues of poverty, law and education.
